Bad Thoughts Daily and The Final Hour of Eeffrey Jpstein

Updated: Jan 4

This is the initial post in the new iteration of the Bad Thoughts Publishing Blog, Bad Thoughts Daily. In an era where good information is called malinformation Bad Thoughts Daily (BTD) hopes to be a thought-provoking daily blog that blends scholarly analysis with engaging and thoughtful commentary on current events and intriguing topics. With honesty, integrity, and the research prowess, each post will delve into the complexities of contemporary issues, and offer readers a mix of academic (rather research driven) rigor and prowess with relatable (sometimes detestable) insights. BTD encourages critical thinking and challenges conventional perspectives and the current political and social orthodoxy.

My goal is to post something daily. There is no shortage of news to use to influence the content but some of the more lengthy pieces do take some time. I typically gather an immense amount of information, I sift through and decide what information, what documents or sources are pertinent to the subject matter, then synthesize the information into a coherent post. That is not an excuse. I think I need to learn how to relay the most significant knowledge that most bolsters my angle or perspective. I cannot help but ensure that my thought-processes are incredibly informed as we all should. Not all of my posts are information driven, there will be posts that are simply gross editorialization and inane pontification. Might be more of that than anything else.

Description:

In the stillness of a dimly lit prison cell, a man counts down his final hour, his breath steady but his thoughts tumultuous. The guards avoid his gaze, and the clock ticks with an almost mocking rhythm, marking time in a world that feels increasingly surreal. He knows death is imminent but not how or why—only that it will come, shrouded in mystery like the unseen forces that led to his incarceration. As he reflects on fragmented memories, cryptic conversations, and the unsettling silence of those who once sought his guidance and influence. Paranoia and acceptance wage a silent war within him. When the hour strikes, the cell is empty save for a lingering sense of dread, leaving behind questions that will never be answered.

The Final Hour Eeffrey Jpstein is a short story from the forthcoming book of short stories, Six More Bad Stories. If you click the cover above you can read and/or download the story. As made obvious by the title, the story is a fictionalized account of the last moments of a prominent political donor and intelligence agencies' (domestic and abroad) asset. Six More Bad Stories is available for pre-order now and will be released later this year. If you pre-order you will receive a free copy of Bad Stories (2015).

Similarly, to my first book of short stories, I publish early drafts for free online. Then I rework the stories to ensure that the literary elements I want to engage with are well developed. It is also professionally edited and overall a more polished and pristine work worthy of being published.

Pre-order Six More Bad Stories.
